What You’ll Do

As a Math Tutor, you’ll create a fun, engaging learning environment, working with up to 4 students at a time in our after school tutoring program.

Your responsibilities include:




  • Delivering personalized math instruction (Kindergarten through Pre-Algebra, with opportunities for Algebra Tutor, Geometry Tutor, or Calculus Tutor roles) using Mathnasium’s Socratic teaching method and interactive tools.



  • Motivating students with real-world math applications and practice exercises to build confidence.



  • Tracking and documenting progress to ensure personalized learning outcomes.



  • Collaborating with the Center Director to meet student needs in a team-teaching model.



  • Supporting tasks like curriculum prep or keeping the workspace tidy.




What We Need





  • Math Proficiency: Strong skills through Algebra I; Geometry or Calculus knowledge preferred for test prep tutoring (SAT/ACT).




  • Availability: At least 2 weekday afternoon shifts, 3-4 hours each, for after school tutoring.




  • Passion for Teaching: Enthusiastic, clear communicator who loves to work with students of diverse learning styles.




  • Background Check: Must pass state and national background checks.




  • Nice to Have: Experience with online math tutoring tools or SAT/ACT test prep.

No problem! Our paid training jobs equip you with Mathnasium’s math education methods and curriculum.
