POSITION SUMMARY

Fairfax is looking for a Part time Night Shift Patient Access Coordinator to join our Intake team.

(Fri, Sat, Sun)

The Patient Access Coordinator (PAC) is primarily responsible for answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls; scheduling patient assessments/appointments; creating and updating patient pre-registrations including verification of benefits and financial counseling; setting certain expectations for patients regarding their services, and responding to customers' information needs.

The PAC is also cross-trained and utilized as a Hospital Services Representative (HSR), thereby assuming the responsibilities associated with the patient discharge/check-out function.

Additionally, the PAC is responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties required to support these functions and, on an as-needed basis, may be required to perform other tasks.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or .

equivalent required.

Experience: At least two years working experience in a hospital or Dr. Office setting helpful.

Strong background in customer service.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Needs to have a general knowledge of patient accounting which includes billing and reimbursement requirements.

Computer skills and ability to interact with all types of customers.

Work hours: 11pm-7:30am (MUST BE Work every other weekend)
