About the Opportunity


Our client, a well-established local company in Honolulu, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring accuracy, and supporting payroll operations for a growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the processing of payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and pay adjustments
  • Maintain and update payroll records in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits in a timely and professional manner
  • Support payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations as needed
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure smooth payroll operations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or related administrative work preferred
  • Familiarity with payroll software and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other basic office applications
