Pediatric Gastroenterologists, North Bay Job Opening In Stanford – Now Hiring Stanford University


Job description

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University is seeking pediatric gastroenterologists to join the Clinician Educator line at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.

The positions will be based at our North Bay clinical site in San Francisco which is a part of the Stanford Medicine Children’s Health enterprise.

+ The major criterion for appointment as Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarship appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.

Academic rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have a M.D., D.O., or M.D. (or D.O.)/Ph.D. and the typical candidate would be board certified in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in gastroenterology.

The successful applicant should have a track record of research and innovation in clinical practice.

We expect the successful candidate to participate in the care of and management of children with gastrointestinal disorders.

The successful candidate will be involved in formal and informal teaching of pediatric residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, residents and fellows in other specialties, medical students and other graduate students.

Opportunities for leadership role may be available.

**About the Stanford Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition**

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University has grown dramatically over the past three decades and now includes nearly three dozen faculty.

Abundant resources, including equipment and nursing/administrative support, are available for Pediatric Gastroenterology faculty members.

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Program is currently ranked in the top programs nationally by U.S. News and World Report.

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health is home to one of the nation’s largest pediatric solid organ transplant programs and offers robust ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatric Hepatology.

Our advanced Pediatric IBD fellowship provides highly specialized training available at only a select group of centers nationwide.

Internationally recognized for its expertise in transplantation, gastroenterology and nutrition, the Division’s clinical program cares for more than 10,000 patients each year.

The Pediatric Gastroenterology Program has great potential for research opportunities and is characterized by a culture of mutual respect and inclusion.

**The expected base pay range for this position is:**

_Clinical Assistant Professor: $254,000 – $272,000_

_Clinical Associate Professor: $294,000 – $312,000_

_Clinical Professor: $349,000 – $376,000_

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank.

It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
