**GENERAL SUMMARY**
This position is responsible for administering/implementing processes within Performance Improvement programs.
Continually monitor the health of the program and implement improvements as directed.
Establish, implement, and maintain performance improvement strategies in assigned program(s) including methods to monitor, measure, and assess performance; implement tools, techniques, and training as necessary.
The Corrective Action Program is required and is reviewed frequently by the NRC and INPO and has a direct effect on the safe and efficient operation of Columbia Generating Station.
This position routinely interacts directly with station management and external stakeholders such as INPO and the NRC.
The incumbent must possess the professional demeanor commensurate with these responsibilities.
This individual interfaces cross-functionally to ensure assigned programs and processes are aligned and properly executed.
Works with peer groups to ensure that department programs and processes are executed at high standards and in line with industry best practices, with goals for performance remaining challenging and continue to sustain excellence.
This position requires the ability to perform complex tasks with a high level of independence.
**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Provide oversight, coordination and Subject Matter Expert support for one or more of the following Performance Improvement programs:
+ Corrective Action Program by: coordinating, monitoring, and administering the Corrective Action Program (CAP), including, but not limited to reviews, analysis, evaluation, trending, corrective action development, and reports to leadership.
+ Human Performance Program by: coordinating and administering organizational strategy for improving human performance that is focused on reducing the occurrence of errors at all levels of the organization, including but not limited to maintaining the Continuous Improvement Coordination (CIC) network to implement human performance initiatives, implementing integrated trending and analysis, reporting to leadership, and serving as consultant on event incident reviews, as requested.
+ Operating Experience (OE) Program by: serving as the station liaison to INPO as the Operating Experience Coordinator, engaging with industry peers for best practices in OE activities, screen incoming OE from all sources and distribute to applicable OE leads for evaluation, providing oversight of the products that result from OE activities
+ Station Trending program by: reviewing identified issues and analyzing their aggregate impact, engaging with industry peers for best practices in trending, communication to station personnel and management when trends are identified, maintaining Trending procedures.
+ Station Benchmarking/Self-Assessment program by: maintaining the BM/SA schedule, engaging with industry peers for best practices in BM/SA activities, providing oversight of the products that result from BM/SA activities
Lead Root Cause or Investigation Analyses for problems associated with the Performance Improvement Department, or as assigned by supervisor.
Participate in industry peer groups and ensure Columbia’s methodologies for performance improvement programs are at Industry Best Practice Level.
Develop, evaluate, maintain and implement administrative procedures or other Performance Improvement program documents, as assigned.
Provide oversight and direction for root cause/high level/significant condition adverse to quality evaluations to drive high quality evaluations and effective corrective actions.
Prepare or revise lesson plans and conduct Performance Improvement training for other station employees.
Develop, monitor, update and trend station performance indicators, as assigned.
Lead or participate in Self Assessments related to the Performance Improvement functional area, or as assigned.
Positively represent the station while assigned to special projects requiring interface with external stakeholders.
Must participate on the Emergency Response team (ERO) when designated.
Must support the biennial refueling outage
**REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
Requires:
+ A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical or business discipline and eight years of applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;
+ OR an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and ten years of applicable experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area;
+ OR a high school diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Nuclear Plant Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Corrective Action Program, Quality Assurance, Business Analysis, Continuous Improvement, Human Behavior or other technical area
+ OR in lieu of the above, a Reactor Operator or Senior Reactor Operator license
**Pay Range**
$122,681.00 - $184,021.00 Annual
Midpoint:
$153,351.00
Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
**Incentive Compensation**
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
