The University of North Texas at Dallas invites applications for Physics Adjunct Instructor Positions for Academic Year 2025-2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and to assist in further development of the UNT Dallas Department of Natural Sciences.

Position Overview
The number of vacancies is dependent on student enrollment, division needs, and dean approval.
Your application cannot be considered until all required documents have been received.
Adjunct faculty plans classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes.
Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours.
The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction for General Physics, Physics for non-science majors, Astronomy, and the associated labs.
Most of these labs are offered in the afternoon or evenings.
Instruction for science lecture courses (Earth Science, Environmental Science) for non-majors may also be possible.
Minimum Qualifications
• A Master’s degree in Physics with outstanding teaching experience in teaching lower level Physics courses OR
• A Master’s degree in Science Education with at least 18 graduate hours in Physics with outstanding teaching experience in teaching lower-level science courses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Adjunct faculty plans classes and implements and evaluates teaching/learning objectives and student learning outcomes.
Adjunct faculty undertakes the divisional and professional responsibilities of a part-time faculty member, including office hours.
The successful applicant will be expected to provide instruction for their assigned courses.”
