1st shift - 7am to 3:30pm, Monday- Friday
$21.50/hour, contract-to-hire!
10 paid holidays per year as a contract/temp employee!
Centrally located in Kearny Mesa!
**Job Description**
As a Plating Technician 2, you will be responsible for analyzing and maintaining the plating line tanks, ensuring they operate within optimal manufacturing parameters.
Your role will involve performing chemical analyses, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the quality of plated parts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare surfaces for plating, including cleaning, polishing, and sandblasting.
+ Select appropriate plating materials and chemicals based on desired finish and application requirements.
+ Set up and maintain plating equipment, such as tanks, pumps, and power supplies.
+ Monitor and adjust plating parameters like voltage, temperature, and current density to achieve desired results.
+ Conduct tests to ensure that plated parts meet quality standards, such as adhesion, corrosion resistance, and thickness.
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
+ Maintain accurate records of plating operations, including chemical usage and time spent on tasks.
+ Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to plating operations.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-3 years of plating experience.
+ Experience handling and understanding the safety of chemicals.
+ Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE).
+ Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Basic computer skills for record-keeping and logging products.
+ Basic math skills.
+ Ability to read and understand written work instructions in English.
+ Ability to work under minimal supervision.
+ Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Chemical handling and understanding.
+ Manual plating experience.
+ Mechanical troubleshooting.
+ Experience with PPE.
+ General labor skills.

**Work Environment**
The role operates within a microelectronic manufacturing setting, emphasizing quality and timely work.
You will be provided with protective clothing and gear, including boots, aprons, earplugs, safety glasses, face shields, and masks.
Adherence to safety standards is paramount.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
