Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities
Participate in full-time research program as agreed upon with PI.Conceptualize, design, implement and troubleshoot research protocols; adapt new procedures and develop new approaches and methods as appropriate.Maintain clear and timely records.Collect, prepare and analyze research data; maintain computer database of research data; contribute to project design and group meetings.
Tabulate and display data for presentation in research conferences, for manuscript preparation and grant submission; use graphics and statistical software to analyze and present data.Contribute to research meetings and progress reports for founders and collaborators.Reading and researching literature, manuscript preparation of research findings.
Assist in grant writing.Supervise other personnel to coordinate group research efforts, participate in training of students, visiting researchers and volunteer workers as needed.

Position Information Classification Title Post-Doctoral Associate AD FLSA Exempt UGA Job Code FTE 1.0 Minimum Qualifications Position Summary The Isakson Center for Neurological Disease Research Zhang Lab is seeking 2 Postdoctoral Research Associates.The research in the laboratory of Dr. Hui Zhang focuses on elucidation of mechanisms underlying Parkinson’s disease at the molecular, cellular and circuit level.
Motivated applicants with a in Neuroscience or related field are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidates will be responsible for independent design and execution of experiments as well as data analysis, interpretation and communication of results.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position Experience in neurodegenerative disease research.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
