Posting Information Posting Number FAE1452 Advertised Title Post-Doctoral Fellow Campus Location Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number L22139 Category Full-Time Faculty Department Economics Position Summary The Department of Economics in the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University of Memphis is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral research fellow.
This position will involve interdisciplinary collaborations with the faculty (business and economics) to generate externally-sponsored research grants for funding joint research and high-quality peer-review publications with the physicians at LifeDoc Health, a non-profit healthcare provider.
Responsibilities focus on data analytics and econometric modelling of patient-level data (encounters, outcomes, etc.) and an assessment of an innovative payment mechanism for the health care services provided the patients.
The Department is an academically diverse, professionally active group of 10 full-time faculty members with research expertise in topic areas such as applied economics and policy analysis, healthcare innovations, tech-econ and economics analytics, and econometrics.
There is substantial collaborative research with other entities on and off campus.
