LEAD POWER ELECTRONICS ENGINEER | DIRECT HIRE | ONSITE IN CARMEL, IN (NOT DALLAS, TX)
Job Description
Join a leading global entity in electric rotating machinery and industrial automation as a Power Electronics Engineer.

This role is part of the Advanced Development Team, focusing on pioneering next-generation AC drive systems, power converters, and electric machines.
Responsibilities

+ Lead the design, development, and testing of AC drives, power converters, and motor control systems.

+ Develop and tune motor control algorithms, including speed, torque, EMF, and field weakening.

+ Design power electronics and motor architectures.

+ Create system models and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.

+ Collaborate with sales and customers to define product requirements.

+ Mentor engineers and lead complex engineering projects.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.

+ 10+ years of experience in designing AC systems, including induction, motor control, power electronics, and drive design.

+ Experience leading project development phases.

+ Experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Proficiency in power electronics and motor control.

+ Skilled in power supply and AC/DC design.

Work Environment
The position requires onsite presence in Carmel and occasional travel to customer sites.
