— Fairfield, NJ 07004

Each day, you’ll walk into a modern contract manufacturing environment serving major semiconductor equipment programs and take ownership of complex, high‑tolerance work.

From horizontal and vertical machining centers to first‑article checks, you’ll be the craft expert who ensures every part meets spec the first time.


What a Day Looks Like

  • Prepare, set up, and operate both horizontal and vertical machining centers (HMCs and VMCs) to run production and prototype parts.

  • Review prints and models, apply your working knowledge of GD&T, and confirm you’re aligned with verbal direction from engineering or supervision.

  • Edit G‑code at the control when needed, making smart suggestions to refine existing programs for better quality and throughput.

  • Perform a thorough “First Piece” check at the machine using pin gages, micrometers, calipers, and other hand metrology to verify all measurable features are within tolerance before submitting for First Article approval.

  • Log accurate job time in the ERP system and coordinate with production planning to keep work centers flowing smoothly.

  • Apply Good Machining Practices (GMP) and uphold 5S standards to keep the cell organized, efficient, and safe.

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and leadership to exchange technical insights and continuously improve processes.


What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands‑on CNC machining experience, including set‑ups for production runs.

  • Proficiency in G‑code, CNC tooling, and reading complex blueprints/drawings with a working knowledge of GD&T.

  • Experience operating CNC mills (3–4 axis VMC) — Mazak, Haas, Doosan; and CNC lathes (2–4 axis) — Mazak.

  • Ability to perform in‑process inspections using pin gages, micrometers, and calipers.

  • Full personal tool set suitable for CNC set‑ups and operations.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited, indentured apprenticeship or high school plus a 2‑year technical school preferred.

  • English language proficiency and a dependable, collaborative attitude.
