We are a fast-moving team that builds, runs, and operates the T-Mobile Advertising Solutions platforms, including our audience building, rideshare, and retail media network solutions.

The Principal Full Stack DevSecOps Engineer will work with software engineers and Data Scientists to design, implement, and deploy complete systems, ensuring they meet cybersecurity requirements and best practices.

The engineer will bring a security first focus to the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of full stack software products that typically include front end web frameworks, back-end services, micro services, databases, and all associated cloud infrastructure required to deploy and maintain the solution.

This engineer will help ensure that our software, systems and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards.

By serving as a point of contact to Cybersecurity teams, performing technical security assessments, code reviews and vulnerability testing, they will highlight risk and remediate associated findings while helping T-Mobile teams and partners improve security.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software engineers and teams to design, implement, and deploy secure systems.
  • Ensure solutions meet cybersecurity requirements and best practices.
  • Focus on platform security for cloud-native systems, including:Containerized services and orchestrationBack-end services & microservicesData storesCloud infrastructure and identity
  • Interface with Cybersecurity, app support, engineering ops, and privacy; build alignment so decisions stick without escalation.
  • Perform security analysis of services, data flows, and delivery pipelines; drive platform-level controls into designs.
  • Identify risks and convert recurring issues into automated guardrails and patterns; remediate findings and help teams improve security.
  • Recommend security plans and resolutions.
  • Lead information security reviews of engineering projects.
  • Execute security initiatives across teams.
  • Mentor and uplevel platform/DevOps and application teams in secure architecture patterns.
  • Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science or Engineering (Required)
  • Work Experience:

  • 10+ years professional experience across DevOps/SRE/Platform and security engineering with real production ownership.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of services in a major public cloud (identity and access, networking, load balancing, storage).
  • Delivered infrastructure as code and container orchestration in production.
  • Measurable improvements to CI/CD throughput and reliability (build/test/release pipelines, rollback strategies, progressive delivery).
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting/automation.
  • Led incidents and postmortems and implemented durable fixes.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Kubernetes platform security for cloud-native systems.

  • Threat modeling and secure architecture patterns across services, data, identity, and delivery pipelines.

  • CI/CD supply-chain security (artifact integrity, SBOM, secrets, pipeline hardening) (Preferred).
  • Cloud identity & access management (least-privilege design, service identity, key management) (Preferred).
  • Domain experience in advertising/retail media and privacy/consent (Plus).

    Base Pay Range: $129,400 - $233,400Corporate Bonus Target: 20%

    The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role.

    The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

    At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role.

    Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.

    Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
