Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer who will fill a senior role in MDA’s System Design and Specification Directorate.
This individual will support the implementation and execution of a disciplined systems engineering process to produce system-level technical documents necessary to establish the basis for MDA Program Office subsystem engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Provide support to the development, management, and planning for current and future missile defense capabilities
+ Provide senior-level support to the definition, management, and execution of requirements traceability; allocation of MDA Technical Core Standards adherence planning
+ Provide leadership of the MDA Engineering Requirements Group
+ Foster collaborative engineering technical interchanges across the MDA engineering community for requirements development
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
+ Master’s degree in a STEM field with a minimum of 12+ years of experience.
+ Active Secret clearance
+ Technical expertise supporting government and contracting staff in systems and digital engineering
+ Experience in MBSE tools (CAMEO), principles, and methodologies for the development, requirements, design, and analysis of architectures in complex DoD projects
+ Experience in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as they relate to missile defense, specifically related to the functional portion of the system
+ Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations on the development, addition, variances, and changes to functional requirements as well as providing quality checks on technical documentation and products
+ Senior-level experience in document development, presentations, change requests, and other engineering products
+ Experience with interacting and supporting high-level government customers (Senior NH-4 director-level and above)
+ Understanding of Industry/DoD engineering best practices, complemented by mature communication skills
Desired:
+ INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification
+ Previous MDA experience
+ Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes
+ Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Ability to work independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems.
+ In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge.
+ Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission.
+ Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures.
+ Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership.
+ Proficient with Microsoft software applications.
+ Ability to execute and complete tasks with no supervision.
+ Ability to travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
+ Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
