BAE Systems has recently been awarded new programs and is currently undergoing an exciting period of growth.
When you become a member of our team, you will work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with Systems, Hardware, Software, and Operations Engineers to impact all phases of the Product Development Lifecycle.

This specific role is to join our Digital Architecture Team as a Principal Software Engineer.
Typical responsibilities for this role include:
+ Architecting, designing, analyzing, developing, and maintaining (typically in C#, Python, and/or Test Stand) test instrument driver abstraction software, common test utility software, and data collection microservices
+ Determine user needs and analyze system capabilities to resolve problems.
+ Be able to mentor junior engineers through regular design and code reviews, and provide guidance on best practices, coding standards, and software development principles.
+ Testing and integrating common software on RF and digital test equipment
Hybrid:
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform work onsite, some efforts may be (mostly) full time on-site.
Work that can be done remotely will allow for a hybrid working environment.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Strong understanding of .NET, .NET Framework and experience programming in C#
+ Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
+ Strong Technical Communication
+ Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience (min) or equivalent experience
+ Possess good interpersonal and team communication skills
+ Takes initiative with general guidance and has a closure-oriented nature
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Programming Languages: C#, Python, NI TestStand
+ Experience with Automated Test and Measurement Software Development
+ Experience in factory production test stands, problem isolation and resolution.
Debug skills.
+ Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
+ Unit Under Test (UUT) emulation and simulation
+ Unit Test Driven Software Design
+ Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic manufacturing environment, with the ability to pivot quickly to address unexpected factory support issues, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, even in high-pressure situations.
+ Ability to thrive in a rapidly expanding team environment, with a willingness to adapt to new roles, responsibilities, and processes as the organization grows and evolves
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
