WHO WE ARE
Specialty Engineering is a department within Lockheed Martin that focuses on the design, development, and integration of hardware systems, as well as specialty engineering disciplines.

The group is involved in a wide array of interesting projects for surface, air and undersea systems for both the USA and international customers.

The work entails everything from circuit board design of next generation chips, testing of electromagnetic environmental effects, to ensuring the safety of flight critical systems.

The Specialty Engineering group is committed to helping deliver next generation systems to customers around the globe.

WHAT WE'RE DOING:
As a PCB Drafter, you will play a crucial role in creating, developing, and recommending changes to electrical parts and functional assemblies using CAD tool software.

This position is part of a Union and per the CBA rules, it does require individuals who either currently have or who are willing to relocate to the state of NY.

THE WORK:

Responsibilities-
-Create and develop electrical parts and functional assemblies using appropriate CAD tool software.
-Support the creation of Printed Wiring Board (PWB) documentation, overseeing drawing details performed by others.
-Maintain drawing status of all details and assemblies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project schedules and costs.
-Act as a Drafting Checker as needed, ensuring the quality and accuracy of medium complexity drawings generated by other Drafting personnel.
-Complete additional basic electrical duties as assigned.

Please note, this position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

For this position we are seeking Drafting professionals who have:
-The ability to work independently under general direction, with work reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated interpersonal skills.
-Moderate knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering design techniques, and materials associated with Electronic Packaging.
-Demonstrated leadership skills.
-Applied knowledge of drafting standards.
