The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated R&D Process Engineer to optimize our Biopharma Production organization by connecting laboratory characterization data with biomanufacturing capabilities while bridging innovative applications with reliable and scalable process technologies.

This Bridgewater, NJ/ Innovation Center role is full-time, on-site.

Required (5+ years with Bachelor’s degree; 3+ years with MS degree; 0- 2 yrs with PHD degree).

Working from Avantor’s Innovation Center, the R&D Engineer will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team of Scientists focused on the development of new products.

With the ability to learn and adapt curiosity, high energy and driven to get things done the R&D Engineer will bring a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive for results

The R&D Engineer will engage with innovative product and application ideas to address current and future challenges in biomanufacturing processes.

This role involves hands-on execution of laboratory studies and/or technology projects designed to support customer’s product needs, from conception to completion, in close collaboration with internal or external partners.

In this dynamic position, the R&D Engineer will be responsible for developing and

leading activities to optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring the reliability and scalability of processes & associated equipment, bringing new products into production.

This role will work within a cross-functional team to effectively connect lab study data with production capabilities and bring new technologies into the manufacturing environment while following appropriate change management policies and procedures ensuring timely project completion.

As part of the customer engagement model and service satisfaction, the Process Engineer will travel and work at customer sites as needed to successfully implement applications.
