Job description
WGBA, the NBC station in Green Bay, Wisconsin, owned by The E.W. Scripps Company, is searching for a News Producer.
The producer will be instrumental in delivering high-quality journalism, producing compelling news stories while collaborating with reporters and anchors to ensure accuracy and integrity in every broadcast.
You will utilize innovative storytelling techniques to create impactful content across multiple platforms.
Green Bay is home to the community-owned Packers and historic Lambeau Field, giving the city a unique, passionate sports culture.
It also offers affordable living, scenic waterfronts on the Bay of Green Bay, and a strong local economy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Develop and organize newscasts or local programs.
Write story development and showcasing.
Collaborate with reporters, anchors, news managers, and assignment editors to determine content needs.
Enhance contentwithgraphics, video, research, and station branding.
Oversee live broadcast and up-to-the-minute editorial decisions.
Postcontent to the station's websites.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
Generally, 2+ yearsof experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Avid local news consumer: knows daily news, events, trends, and happenings on a local level
Strongvision and ability to advance stories
Excellent interpersonal communicator
Extraordinarily passionate about writing; courageous and creative storyteller with attention to even tiny details - choosing the perfect words, grammar, spelling
Highly organized
Highly adaptable -fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong self-motivation
Working knowledge of journalistic ethicsand libel laws, and strong editorial judgement
Able to use web analytics
Proficient with newsroom computer systems, MS Office a plus
Flexible work hours may be required, including holidays, weekends, and evenings
