Location: Beaverton, OR

 

Job Description:

The Image Editor/ Re-Toucher supports reliable execution of rendering workflows across internal and vendor pipelines, ensuring production timelines and asset integrity for the Studio Ops and Studio Process Integration team.

The role involves managing the render queue, ingesting finalized vendor assets, overseeing file publishing, and ensuring traceability and QC readiness.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:


  • Monitor, prioritize, and troubleshoot render jobs using Deadline and other render farm tools.


  • Ensure timely delivery of outputs for production and QC checkpoints.


  • Escalate failed jobs and optimize render settings for performance and consistency.


  • Align render schedules with task assignments and production timelines.


  • Maintain documentation for render workflows, naming conventions, and output directories.


  • Confirm visual fidelity, file integrity, formats, resolution specs, and metadata compliance.


  • Version, tag, and store assets per governance standards.


  • Manage internal/external file transfers and maintain backup protocols.


  • Prepare render outputs for review, including labeling, playlist creation, and annotations.


  • Ingest finalized vendor-delivered assets into the render pipeline and monitor execution.


  • Track parameters, contributors, and output delivery; flag discrepancies for resolution.


  • Gather and organize asset support/reference files for producers and artists as needed.


 

Must Have:


  • 1+ year of experience as a render wrangler or technician (school projects, class, or internships accepted).


  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine.


  • Experience with render farms (e.g., Deadline or other data farm management tools).



 

Nice to Have:


  • Experience with Autodesk, Flow, or ShotGrid for task tracking and review setup.


  • Blender proficiency for asset validation, geometry prep, and compatibility troubleshooting.


  • Familiarity with Python or scripting to automate repetitive tasks.
