About The Opportunity We are looking for a Product Designer to create experiences for Contentful’s Ecosystem, with a focus on developer customers.

This person will work across Contentful webapp, documentation and developer tooling surfaces.

Contentful’s Ecosystem also includes our marketplace of apps and integrations, and tools that enable customers to build bespoke apps.

In this role, you will drive design and research that shapes the future of Contentful’s Ecosystem, in collaboration with cross functional partners.

Your goal is to make Contentful intuitive and delightful with developer customers in mind.

The experiences you design will influence how developers set up, integrate, and extend Contentful, ultimately elevating the success of our platform.
What to expect What you will do as part of the team:
Execute high fidelity designs that bring requirements from conceptual to deliverable
Create blue sky design prototypes that inform how we approach customer experience solutions, leveraging both traditional (Figma) and AI tools (v0, Lovable or similar)
Collaborate via workshops and wireframes on shaping requirements to support business goals and customer needs
Conduct primary research including user interviews, usability testing and competitive analysis to deepen understanding of our customers
Leverage Contentful’s open source design system, Forma 36, to ensure consistency across product surfaces
Participate in product designer peer mentorship opportunities like critiques and share outs to grow and raise our quality bar
Participate in daily agile, cross functional ceremonies to align with engineering and product management partners
Represent customer needs, especially developer needs, through your work and via conversations with your team
What You Need To Be Successful 3+ years of product design experience
Experience on products for developer customers (developer platforms, APIs, or developer tools) and a passion for technical topics
Experience conducting primary research and discovery, especially customer interviews and usability testing
Progressive mindset around AI, eager to experiment
Ability to shape requirements based on customer needs
Experience delivering high quality, production-ready designs based on an existing design system and accessibility standards
Portfolio of design work showcasing process and craft
Comfortable working with a global company with offices in US and EU
Strong communication skills and confidence in communicating with design peers, cross functional partners and stakeholders
B2B SaaS experience is a plus

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is for applicants who will work or reside in Colorado.

Colorado Salary Range: $119,000 - $161,000.

This position is eligible for equity awards under Contentful’s equity plans.
