  • Liaise and maintain records of key contacts in Translation Core (TC) projects, policy makers, and other relevant persons.

    Serve as the primary point of contact for Translation Core activities at Penn.

    Maintain records of and attend project meetings and events.

    Provide advice, including leading discussions on scientific topics and design and organize activities and programs with partners.

    Maintain a record of accomplishments and prepare drafts of annual progress report including primary writing of description of all Translation Core activities.
  • Arrange conferences, workshops, meetings, and webinars for target audiences, designing promotional campaigns .

    Convene meetings of the Translation Core with target audiences including the Community Stakeholder Advisory Committee.

    Prepare agendas, presentations, minutes and any necessary materials for all meeting.
  • Present at grant meetings and other study related meetings.

    Represent the Translation Core at community, local and national meetings making presentations of Children’s Center work.

    Design and present environmental health curricula to students K-undergraduate.

    Supervise undergraduate students and volunteers working on Translation Core projects.
  • Collect and manage scientific data to identify populations most at risk to lead poisoning, poor air quality, asbestos, and endocrine disruptors and disseminate such information to the communities including meeting with community participants in studies, explaining study methods and managing samples.
  • Work with PRCCEH scientists to analyze data: Conduct library research, data-base searches (EPA data, NASA satellite imagery, Air Quality Index and Toxic Release Inventory) to support research and translation activities.
  • Analyze research data using techniques such as GIS mapping and spatial analytics or other appropriate techniques; present work to faculty and faculty teams.
  • Write portions of grant applications (progress reports on Translation Core for the RPPR and Children’s Center competing continuation), design and write educational materials, brochures, flyers and reports on Environmental Health topics for target audiences based on scientific research informed writing.
  • Develop new content and tailor existing content for Prescriptions for Prevention Program.
  • Assist in the development of content for webinars for childcare providers in PA.
  • Engage with Built to Last participants on connecting them to resources, provide drinking water and lead in soil testing kits to community partners and arrange for the testing and dissemination of results.
  • Work with Community Asthma Prevention Program staff to engage health care providers in Chester, recruit patients, coordinate logistics of people and supplies and communications between community health worker and patients and collect implementation data in a format suitable for analysis.
  • Train community members and build capacity for their engagement of regulators and legislators.
  • Assist in the development of individual school risk assessments for asbestos exposure and arrange the logistics for their presentation in community/school settings.
  • Continue the process for the recruitment and admission of adolescents into the Academy for Environmental Exposure Reduction.

    Arrange logistics, scheduling and support for the Academy for Environmental Exposure Reduction.
  • Manage TC communications between and among program personnel.

    Produce visual representations accessible to community partners and stakeholders
  • Manage website including content for all program activities, pilot projects and engagement of clinicians around children’s environmental health.
  • Produce annual reports and summaries of data for stakeholder dissemination.

    Develop and communicate promotional materials.
  • General Duties: Submit vendor payments and purchase orders (BEN Finance) and Reimbursements (CONCUR).

    Make travel arrangements for speakers/guests and faculty.

    Phone management and call routing for CEET Director – Filing and record keeping as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

    MPH or related degree preferred.
  • The Actual End Date of this position is 11/30/2026 and is contingent upon continued funding.

    Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level.
