In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
BAE Systems is seeking a self-motivated and experienced Program Manager to manage the $50M Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Transponder Technology Refresh development and productionization projects.
The IFF Transponder is a key component of our IFF portfolio.
This position has the responsibility for the leadership and management oversight of a project team assuring that project s financials, schedule, and technical objectives are met and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved while meeting all contractual commitments.
Reporting to the Common IFF Program Area Director, this role will require strong cross functional leadership and customer management to operate in this dynamic environment balancing program execution as well as supporting new business initiatives.
The candidate must be able to work effectively and collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and all Program Office functional leadership to assure deliveries continue to exceed customer commitments and achievement of financial commitments to the company.
Additionally, the candidate will participate in the support of new business and in the development of proposals.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
+ Provide leadership and management oversight for the IFF Transponder Technology Refresh, assuring the team s Program Area and Product Line objectives are met and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
+ Responsible and accountable to the Program Area and Product Line Management for program execution, profitability, timeliness, and overall success.
Makes timely decisions that are cost effective to the company and ensures assigned projects meet financial commitments for orders, sales, profit, and cash.
+ Accountable for all aspects of assigned program s execution (cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, risk management, and customer engagement) throughout all the Life Cycle Management (LCM) phases, ensuring program commitments are met while having the authority to make cogent and timely decisions related to the project.
+ Acts as the primary point of contact between BAE Systems and the customer program office, suppliers, and key customer stakeholders.
+ Improves our work environment by promoting teamwork, wellness, workplace flexibility, modeling good behaviors, and increasing leadership engagement.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Bachelor's degree and relevant program management experience.
Demonstrated experience leading and inspiring teams in a high tempo environment.
+ Successful, proven past performance in leading and managing multi-discipline project teams.
+ Expertise in project management, earned value management, risk management, and supply chain & subcontract management.
+ Excellent executive presence and communication skills, including oral presentations and written correspondence.
+ Exhibits exceptional interpersonal skills while interfacing with program team members, company personnel, suppliers, and customers.
+ Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Master s degree in Engineering, Management, or Business Administration and 8-10 years of experience.
+ Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
+ Detailed knowledge of the defense aerospace market and experience working with US Navy program offices.
+ Experience in business case development, analysis, and presentation.
+ Experience in the development and production of high reliability electronics.
+ Experience in new business capture.
+ Active Secret Clearance.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $150370 - $255630
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
