Overview

A growing behavioral health initiative in New York is seeking a dedicated Clinical Program Supervisor to lead an intensive in-home crisis stabilization program for children and adolescents (ages 6–20).

This program is designed to support young individuals who are at immediate risk of psychiatric hospitalization, offering an alternative through short-term, community-based care.

This leadership role will oversee day-to-day operations in Fulton and Montgomery Counties, managing a small clinical team and ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and family engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a team of four master’s-level clinicians (two per county), each with a caseload of 3–4 youth in crisis.

  • Provide clinical oversight for all client care plans, risk assessments, and intervention strategies.

  • Participate in home visits alongside staff to ensure family involvement and treatment accuracy.

  • Lead bi-weekly team meetings and organizational check-ins.

  • Offer consistent, weekly 1:1 clinical supervision to team members.

  • Act as backup support for families when their assigned clinician is unavailable.

  • Represent the program at interagency and collaborative meetings, including SPOA and required state training sessions.

  • Maintain compliance with state mental health guidelines, including documentation standards and electronic systems (e.g., AWARDS, CAIRS).

  • Remain available for crisis consultation outside standard business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Adapt to evolving program demands and provide strategic input as the service expands.

  • Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a mental health field such as:

  • Social Work

  • Mental Health Counseling

  • Marriage and Family Therapy

  • Creative Arts Therapy

  • Active New York licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT) is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with children/youth diagnosed with serious emotional disturbances (SED), preferably in a community or crisis setting.

  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in a clinical environment.

  • Strong skills in trauma-informed care, communication, and family engagement.

  • Must be capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Spanish fluency is a plus.

  • Must pass a background check and hold a valid driver’s license.

    Compensation & Benefits

Competitive starting salary of $70,000+, commensurate with background and education.

Full health benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

    401(k) plan with employer contribution.

Access to agency vehicles for travel across service areas.

Potential for hybrid work arrangements, though in-person involvement in both counties is essential.

    Commitment to Equity

This organization is deeply committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace.

Applicants from diverse cultural, linguistic, and experiential backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
