Support positions in this environment typically require a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and progressive experience in the relevant support role, and require regular interaction with Engineering, Program Management, Security, IT, and Contracts staff members.

We’re looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Operations Manager to join our Electromagnetics team in Herndon, VA.

In this role, you'll take ownership of day-to-day facility operations across a diverse portfolio — from office spaces to highly technical testing and production areas.

The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive and takes challenges head on.

To do so, you will be immersed in the business to develop strategies that will mitigate disruption and drive success.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Ensure all facilities run safely, efficiently, and support business needs.
+ Act as the main point of contact between facility operations, project teams, and support departments.
+ Identify facility-related issues before they become problems, and work with leadership to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.
+ Lead the planning and coordination of day-to-day operations, budgets, and schedules.
+ Manage both routine and complex operations including building infrastructure and specialized equipment, systems, and components.
+ Communicate across departments to balance operational needs with quality standards, timelines, and compliance.
+ Improve processes and services to make the best use of resources.
+ Review costs, productivity, and service methods to keep operations efficient and on target.
+ Set up and manage service contracts, ensuring vendors meet performance expectations.
+ Oversee space planning by analyzing how space is used and how it can be improved.
+ Work closely with Procurement, EH&S, and other departments to align support services with operational needs.
+ Coordinate with landlords and tenants on shared building matters.
+ Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
+ Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
+ Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
+ Occasional travel to multiple locations, including Albuquerque (ABQ) and Boulder, Colorado.
+ We offer a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to enjoy every other Friday off.

**Job Qualifications:**

+ Typically requires a Bachelors or master’s in business administration, finance, or a related field, along with eleven or more years of progressive project administration experience with at least five of the years in an engineering or scientific environment.

May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
+ Strong leadership, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills are also required as well as the ability to interpret and explain unusually complex information.
+ Customer focused, must be able to work on a self-initiated basis and in a team environment.
+ Must demonstrate detailed and extensive expertise in project planning and scheduling, as well as monitoring and reporting on these activities.
+ Direct experience with construction/tenant improvement, equipment/facility integration required.
+ Extensive experience using Microsoft Project required.
+ Experience utilizing SAP®, CMMS, Procore, Bluebeam, CAD, Revit is highly desirable.
+ Established relationships with Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) in and around Acton, MA.

and experience in local planning/permitting processes is desirable.
+ Must be customer focused and able to work on a self-initiated basis or in a team environment and able to work extended hours and travel as required.
+ U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
