Position Description
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Minimum Experience 3 Summary The Project Coordinator is involved in a significant amount of management and coordination of operational and management-related processes and projects that support the strategic business objectives and goals of the division and works closely with managers, senior officers, and/or relevant leadership teams (e.g., Deputy Directors, Division Directors). Provides project management support for divisional projects as assigned using cross-functional teams, meetings, and progress measurement activities to bring projects to completion on time, managing scope and budget, with quality outcomes in support of division objectives. Position Requirements
Overview The United States will assume the G20 presidency in 2026 and the G7 presidency in 2027. The Board, jointly with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will have responsibility for the G7 and the G20 Finance Tracks, which are among the primary international forums to bring central bank and treasury officials together across the world’s largest economies to discuss pressing economic challenges, address financial stability risks, and coordinate on global policy issues. About the Team The International Engagement and Strategy (IES) section within the International Finance Division supports the Board’s international engagement and promotes the visibility and influence of Board economic and financial expertise in international policy dialogue. Responsibilities include: developing and executing an international engagement strategy; conducting international policy research and analysis; monitoring global geopolitical developments; coordinating perspective on international policy issues across the Board and System; managing relationships with other central banks and finance ministries; supporting Board staff participation in, and contributions to, relevant working groups at international organizations; and, coordinating international meetings and visitors to the Board. About the Role The Project Coordinator will support the overall management of G20/G7 operations, including project management support for cross-functional teams and official meetings, and use of progress measurement tools to bring G20/G7 projects to completion on time with quality outcomes. The Project Coordinator develops and maintains a current contact list for G20/G7 participants, ensuring all G20/G7 delegation registrations are accurate and consistent with guidelines. The Project Coordinator also develops and maintains accurate administrative circular information for all governor and deputy in-person meetings. Position Requirements/Qualifications To qualify at the below grade levels, candidates must hold a degree in economics, finance, business administration, international policy/affairs, or related discipline, and have the accompanying minimum years of relevant experience, excluding time spent in post-graduate study.
A strong sense of collegiality and teamwork is essential. Prior experience with project coordination and management is required.
This is a two-year term position. The position requires 100% on-site presence at our Downtown Washington, D.C. offices. Travel frequency is up to 10% depending on business needs. Please attach a CV/resume before submitting application. A writing sample may be requested.
