**DESCRIPTION:**

As a **Project Electrical Engineer** at Black Construction, the successful applicant will be assigned to implement the electrical engineering requirements of either private / commercial, military installation.

He/ She will be based in Guam but will work on different projects for Guam, Micronesia, and Diego Garcia.

The Electrical Engineer will be tasked with the following (but not limited to):

+ Coordinate and supervise the timely and proper preparation of required electrical plans and specifications prior to implementation of works.
+ Procure electrical materials and equipment needed for the project and ensure they delivery is based on the project program schedule.
+ Prepare and study technical drawings, specification of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and requirements.
+ Anticipates requirements to support the field operation during the construction stage.
+ Ensures a close coordination and interaction of different trades for speedy and effective execution of works.
+ Monitors the progress of electrical works to ensure all works have been completed and able to meet target schedule and budget.
+ Prepares correspondence to the concerned parties regarding information, clarification and/or decisions that require immediate resolution.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word and Excel software, computer aided design CAD software (is a plus)
+ Abilities in problem sensitivity, oral and written comprehension, oral and written expression and near vision are essential.
+ Abilities in estimating the quantifiable characteristics of products and information is essential.
+ Analytical thinking, attention to detail, persistence and stress tolerance are required work styles.
+ Trouble shooting, complex problem solving, critical thinking using logic and reasoning and reading comprehension is essential.

**REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
+ (Seven (7) or more years of related construction experience as an Electrical Engineer.
+ Professional certificates or licenses and training certificates.
