**Posting Title:** Project Engineer - Data Center

**Reports To:** Senior Project Manager

**Location:** Cedar Rapids, Iowa

**Salary Range:** $65,000 to $85,000

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.

We build mission-critical data centers throughout the U.S. to ensure crucial information accessed by millions of people is always available and secure.

For decades, CEI is a leading provider of design, installation and commissioning of 20M+ square feet of data center space totaling over 4 GW of electrical systems—including infrastructure built to support AI-driven technologies.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We’re seeking a Project Engineer ready to be on the front lines of a project--giving daily support to the field, project management, and customer teams.

Our Project Engineers (PE) are vital in keeping our processes moving along and assists in the execution of project plans.

This role will be responsible for specific activities such as coordinating material onsite delivery dates, maintaining RFI, submittals, and change order logs, and will serve as a key point of contact for internal customers.

**_Knowledge:_** Learns to use professional concepts.

Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.

**_Job Complexity_** **:** Works on problems of limited scope.

Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

Builds stable working relationships internally.

**_Supervision:_** Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

**WHAT YOU WILL GAIN**

You’ll work directly for a project manager or project executive on a team that partners with field, engineering, and design teams.

It’s ok if you don’t have a deep understanding of electrical construction, just be ready to learn and get fired up.

You'll have the opportunity to soak up knowledge from everyone you work with – from the journeyman and general foreman to the project team assigning daily tasks.

In addition to on-the-job experience and mentoring from your peers, you’ll attend vendor off sites, training classes, and other learning opportunities.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

_Any combination of education and experience that, in the sole judgment and discretion of Company, would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications may qualify._

**Education:** High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or similar preferred.

**Licensure/Certifications:** None required.

**Experience:** Zero (0) years of construction or related experience required.

Two (2) years of construction or related experience preferred.

**Driving Record:** Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
