TITLE: Project Facilities Engineering Manager REPORTS TO: Director – Engineering DEPARTMENT: Engineering SUPERVISES: Project Engineering Leads EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Education and Experience are as follows: • Engineering Degree
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry
• Extensive working knowledge of deepwater floating production units – Spars, TLP’s, and Semisubmersibles
• Minimum 5 years experience as project engineer or engineering manager on major engineering projects
• Good oral and written communication skills PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Major responsibilities can be summarized as follows: • Manage all engineering work on the project to achieve project and company objectives
• Plan, implement, monitor, control, and report the engineering execution plan for the project
• Lead the engineering portion of the change management procedure • Ensure the application of the Quality and HSES Management Systems on the engineering portion of the work Specific Duties include:
• Organize engineering team and resources
• Manage the preparation of the engineering execution plan
• Initiate the engineering execution plan through a kickoff meeting • Monitor engineering progress through utilization of the project control system
• Interface with project management team regarding progress, reporting, change management, quality management, HSES management, etc.
• Oversee the production, approval, and issue of all engineering deliverables • Manage the implementation of variations and change orders to the engineering work
• Manage the allocation of engineering resources to achieve project objectives
