Job Title: Project Manager Consultant
Location: REMOTE - US
Hours: Day Time – 8 AM – 5 PM (Mon – Fri)

Summary
We are seeking an experienced Contract Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure and security projects within a manufacturing environment.

This contract role requires a unique blend of IT Project Management expertise and practical knowledge of Manufacturing/Plant Operations.

The initial focus will be securing a vital network segmentation pilot while also providing essential mentorship to an internal Project Lead.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead the full lifecycle management of a network macro-segmentation pilot project at two manufacturing sites, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget adherence.

+ Directly manage project tasks related to firewall installation, policy development, and network segmentation to prevent operational crosstalk.

+ Effectively manage technical resources and stakeholders from both IT and Plant Operations, navigating the unique dynamics and high expectations of both groups.

+ Act as a dedicated mentor and organizational partner to an internal, early-career Project Lead, providing guidance on planning, organization, and full project lifecycle execution.

+ Ensure successful knowledge and skill transfer to the internal team to build long-term capability and mitigate reliance on external resources.

Required Qualifications

+ Demonstrated success managing projects that span both Information Technology (IT) and Manufacturing/Plant Operations or Engineering.

+ Strong working knowledge of networking and security principles, specifically in network segmentation and firewall implementation.

+ Proven track record of successful project delivery, leading teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.

+ Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and lead diverse teams.

+ PMP preferred.
