Job Description:
The Microchip Frequency and Time Systems (FTS) development team is looking for an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining project manager.
The FTS systems group produces network timing equipment such as PTP Grandmasters and NTP servers.
The primary role is to manage the engineering development, prototyping, and final production release of a new product.
In this position, you will define the overall schedule, develop the project budget, and work with a multi-disciplined group of engineers and technicians.
The position also requires interaction with our Operations Team to smoothly transition a product from development to production.
The project manager will participate in all aspects of the design cycle, collaborating with HW/SW/Marketing/Test/Manufacturing teams, initial planning, high-level specification, review detailed designs and documentation, supervise simulation/verification, participate in hardware bring-up/testing, and support sustaining activities for existing products.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering development, including working with operations and vendors, and a strong ability to solve technical problems and manage projects.
