We are seeking a Project Scientist (EIR Scientist) to join our team! The location of this position is flexible.

Preference will be given to candidates with petroleum and/or project management experience.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage environmental projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH through all phases, from proposal generation, project execution, reporting, and invoicing.
  • Provide work assignments to support staff in execution of fieldwork and project deliverables.
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Assist clients with complying with local, regional, state, and federal regulations for the petroleum projects,
  • Interact with internal and external clients, service partners, and contractors
  • Promote a safety-first culture that values proactive measures and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other team members toward a common goal of providing client-centric services with high quality interactions and deliverables.
  • Requirements

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or other applied science,
  • Minimum 3 years of experience (5 years preferred) including a combination of field, data evaluation, and technical writing within the environmental site investigation & remediation practice.
  • Working knowledge of procedures and methodologies related to site investigation, hydrogeology, and remediation of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and air impacts.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with implementation and supervision of health and safety requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team setting.
  • Good problem solving and general scientific evaluation skills
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple activities on an on-going basis.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and motor vehicle background check.
  • Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with petroleum releases and remediation projects in IL, MI, MN, WI and/or OH.
  • Experience and understanding of ASTM Environmental Site Assessment preferred.
  • 40-hr HAZWOPER training and 8-hour annual refresher.
