Job Description

We are seeking a Proposal Manager that has a successful track record of leading complex proposals.

This Hybrid/Primarily Remote position but must be willing to travel for in person proposal development and collaboration activities.

Key Role:

Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of proposal development for opportunities of varying size and complexity.

Work collaboratively with capture managers and technical SMEs to plan and manage compliant and compelling proposal content for federal government Defense, Space, Civilian, Health, and Supply Chain and Logistics Agencies.

Our proposal team includes proposal managers, proposal writers, graphic artists, proposal coordinators, desktop publishers, and editors.

Responsibilities include developing a master outline/compliance matrix, creating and managing the proposal schedule, drafting mock-ups, working with writers to plan and organize proposal content that is easy to evaluate and score, chairing color reviews, leading adjudication of reviewer recommendations, coordinating with pricing and contracts, and overseeing production activities.

Proactively identify and resolve issues and gaps, keep senior leaders informed, collaborate across the company, and leverage our wide range of corporate capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4 + years of experience as a Proposal Manager for federal government proposals
  • Track record of managing complex proposals
  • Ability to guide writers and manage proposal content
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leaders, capture managers, and proposal support teams
  • Has an ownership mentality and is accountable for compliance
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of SharePoint, Shipley Proposal Process, and industry best practices
  • Remote work with occasional travel required for proposal development
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Oral proposal expertise desirable
  • Proposal Management training and/or APMP Certification desirable
