Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

+ + Responsible for analyzing, researching, writing, and preparing specific technical and management elements in response to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Sources Sought/Market Surveys/Requests for Information (RFI) as directed by proposal management.

Technical elements may include base operations, maintenance, and services; equipment maintenance; transportation; supply and logistics; civil engineering/public works; work control; and communications and information systems.

Management content may include program/project management, contract phase-in and transition; environmental, safety, and health; quality control; risk management; and security.

Key Responsibilities:

+ + Receives proposal assignment and major guidelines, and outlines and develops an organized approach to writing a competitive response (i.e., balancing services best answering the customer's needs against the established competitive situation and guidelines).

• Assists in the preparation of a detailed proposal outline; lists questions regarding interpretation of RFPs and applicability, technical feasibility, etc., and submits them to the Proposal Manager for review and approval.

• Participates in formal reviews, reviews comments resulting in reviews, and revises proposal text in coordination with proposal management.

• Completes all deliverables on time; demonstrates responsibility and accountability to the assigned sections, volumes, or documents.

• Interviews subject matter experts and incorporates their thoughts, opinions, and expertise into effective proposal text.

• Writes portions of technical and management proposals in coordination with appropriate departmental sources (e.g., Legal, Contracts, Wage and Salary, Employment, Accounting).

• Incorporates themes, discriminators, strategy, and key success factors to create compelling proposals.

• Assists with the review and analysis of technical sections; prepares drafts of standardized sections; writes, edits, and rewrites technical sections, resolving any questions with reviewers; assists in organizing the proposal into the prescribed format; develops concepts for appropriate graphics, such as illustrations, charts, and tables, working in conjunction with the Graphic Designer.

• Maintains strict compliance with Vectrus policies and procedures relating to Business Ethics and Code of Conduct, in addition to the specific procurement regulations established by the federal Government.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

+ + Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Experience:

• Five (5) years’ practical writing experience.

• Previous proposal experience is highly desirable.

• Other Requirement:

• US citizenship, required.

• Software:

• Proficient in the use of computers and computer software programs Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).

• SharePoint Online and Teams, required.

• Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while working multiple simultaneous assignments.

• Demonstrated experience writing in a technical, business, or related analytical field required.

• The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

• The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.

• USD $ 70,000 - $110,000

• Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
