Job description

GPJ is hiring a Purchasing Agent to join our growing team.


This role is on-site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas office location a minimum of 5 days per week.


Your Role


As the Purchasing Agent, you’ll be in charge of overseeing and negotiating a vast supply chain and vendor database, all while collaborating closely with Estimators, Fab Producers, Project Managers, & Fabrication Leads.

In this role, your responsibilities include creating and managing Purchase Orders for client projects and internal purchases.


You’ll also be responsible for developing and monitoring diversity spending and SCORE programs, in addition to handling various other tasks.

It will be your duty to maintain cost-saving initiatives, keep inventory under control, and manage expedited materials to ensure we meet project schedules.


Your Skills

  • Negotiate/show annual savings of $250, across all material lines

  • Manage purchases to meet both client and internal diversity goals

  • Manage inventory systems to reflect accurate quarterly inventories

  • Negotiate volume savings on purchases for all domestic locations

    Your Experience


    Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience

  • 4 Year College Degree; preferred in Business or related discipline, or experience in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Travel & Mobility

  • Ability to travel 25%

  • Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed
