**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive **Purchasing Coordinator** to join our team.
This role is essential in supporting procurement operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials, supplies, and services.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for optimizing purchasing processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Coordinate and execute purchasing activities in alignment with company policies and budget guidelines.
+ Source vendors and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
+ Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
+ Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.
+ Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and ensure supply chain efficiency.
+ Prepare purchase orders and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
+ Track shipments and follow up on delays or discrepancies.
+ Assist in developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
+ Must be able to work in any area as needed.
**Qualifications**
+ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
+ 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination.
+ Strong negotiation and communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
+ Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
+ Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Background in hospitality purchasing, including food&beverage, housekeeping supplies, or event-related procurement.
+ Familiarity with vendor relations in a food&beverage environments.
+ Experience working with hospitality management systems (e.g., BirchStreet, MarketMan, or similar).
+ Understanding of seasonal demand planning and inventory control in hospitality settings.
+ Ability to manage multiple property purchasing needs or coordinate across departments like front office, kitchen, and facilities.
+ Knowledge of hospitality compliance standards, including health and safety regulations related to procurement.
