**SUMMARY**

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors, Inc.

is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead quality control efforts on mechanical construction projects.

The QA/QC Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with industry codes, project specifications, and safety standards.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Include the following.

Other responsibilities may be assigned.

+ Enhance and maintain comprehensive quality program.

+ Develop and manage welding QC plans and documentation

+ Review WPS, PQR, and WPQ

+ Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients

+ Maintain welder certifications and inspection records

+ Support training and resolve quality issues

**PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

+ Degree in Welding Tech or Mechanical Engineering

+ Experience in HVAC or piping systems

+ AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

+ 3–5 years of welding QC experience in construction

+ Knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API 1104

+ Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, UT, MT, PT)

+ Strong communication and documentation skills

+ Additional certifications (e.g., NDT Level II, ASQ)

+ Additional certifications (e.g., NDT Level II, ASQ
