Qualifications Experience:



  • 2 years experience working with people with developmental and/or similar disabilities if degree is in related field or 3 years experience if degree is in an unrelated field.

  • Must qualify as a Qualified Professional or be supervised by a QP until qualified and fully privileged.

Knowledge of Behavioral Health Standards and funding sources required.  Computer Skills:



  •   To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and skill in utilizing Microsoft 365.

  •   Qualified Professional (QP) Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related field required Work authorization: United States JOB DETAILS Reports To: Director of Clinical Services Supervises: Innovations and Private Pay Staff Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday / 8am-4pm Hours per week: 40 Benefits: Available for full-time employees Work Remotely: No Visa Sponsorship: No, Not providing sponsorship for this job Job Location: 3523 Nevin Road Charlotte, NC 28269 Salary Range: 45k to 50k Job Description The primary duty of the position is the responsibility for assisting individuals in exploring vocational options, setting goals, and establishing needed services and supports to reach those goals.

  • Goals and / or needed supports and services may extend beyond the vocational realm into any area of the individual’s life and may include assessment, planning, support, guidance, coordination, and implementation.
  • The Qualified Professional is responsible for meeting necessary planning and documentation requirements per clinical policy guidelines of funding sources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  •    Ensures that program activities are in compliance with Innovations Waiver Services/B-3 as well as state laws and regulations.

  • Assesses the needs, strengths, and preferences of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assists individuals in developing and/or selecting supports and services to meet individual needs.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of individuals, including their records and individual supports and services provided.  Knowledge of funder sources software and ability to utilize funder source software.
  • Serves as medical billing back-up and support.
  • Participates in developing annual person-centered plan in conjunction with the treatment team as appropriate.  Maintains ongoing communication with all treatment team members.
  • Reviews plan and goals quarterly and amends as needed.  Advises direct support professionals of program participant goals and monitors quantifiable goal progress.  Supervises direct support professionals providing clinical supervision as appropriate.  Conducts quarterly clinical supervision reviews and annual performance reviews, recommending professional development opportunities as needed.  Ensures that program participants are aware of other referral resources available within the community.
  • Responds as needed to behavioral support needs of program participants.  Attends and participates in all mandated meetings, trainings, professional conferences, and seminars.
  • Fosters a safe and healthy environment for all program participants, staff, and visitors.   Monitors and records incidents and accidents.  Provides first aid and emergency care as needed.  Always demonstrates professional behavior.
  • Accepts and responds positively to program changes.
  • Provides training to individuals and staff, as necessary.
  • Conducts monthly meetings with individuals we support to ensure opportunity for expression of needs, concerns, and input.  Transports individuals as needed.
  • Responds as needed in emergency situations.  Supervises all aspects of private pay program including generation of monthly billing and coordinating activities for program participants.
  • Responsible for monitoring and approving timeclock for direct reports.
  • Set up new staff credentials in electronic healthcare record.
