Job description

The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and implementing lean manufacturing principles across the organization.

This individual works cross-functionally within the company, collaborating closely with teams at both the Wilsonville and Hood River facilities to develop and maintain procedures and documentation that ensure product quality.

The position reports directly to the General Manager, working closely with the Wilsonville Operations Manager and the Hood River Site Manager.


The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and implementing lean manufacturing principles across the organization.

Specifically, he/she is expected to:

+ Ensure all products consistently meet defined specifications, actively promoting a Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) mindset.

+ Develop, mentor, and empower a growing team responsible for internal quality assurance, process improvement, and supplier and customer quality management.

+ Develop, utilize, and maintain critical quality documentation, including Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Quality Plans, and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs).

Lead internal training sessions on these processes.

+ Evaluate quality requirements and develop or revise quality system documentation as needed.

+ Compile, organize, and present technical data and quality reports to senior management and customers to drive process improvements for both Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and non-PPAP product lines.

+ Lead root cause analysis investigations and manage corrective action processes.

+ Conduct regular internal audits and Quality Management Reviews.

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party auditors.

+ Create, maintain, and regularly publish Quality Metrics for both Wilsonville and Hood River facilities, initiating appropriate corrective actions as required.

+ Develop and implement structured continuous improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Value Stream Mapping to identify inefficiencies and drive sustainable improvements across manufacturing and administrative processes.

+ Lead cross-functional teams to proactively identify, evaluate, and implement best practices for process standardization and waste reduction, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and customer expectations.

+ Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%


What we’re looking for

+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.

+ Desired 5 years of Quality Management experience within the automotive or aerospace industries.

+ Proven leadership skills with the capability to develop teams in rapidly growing environments.

+ Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

+ Strong interpersonal skills and effective conflict management capabilities.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products—Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

+ Skilled in the use of ERP/MRP systems.

+ Comprehensive understanding of ISO Quality standards relevant to manufacturing.
