Job Description

***Position Pending Contract Award***Provides senior leadership and overall direction for the contractor’s quality, safety and environmental programs; partners with the DPG WDTC Safety Office, WDTC Directorates, and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to ensure cohesiveness with WDTC quality and safety approach; detailed knowledge of desert environment and associated CBRNE test site hazards.Duties and Responsibilities * Coordinating with the DPG Safety Office and TRAX Managers.* Investigating mishaps/accidents when required.* Developing a broad safety education program through use of programs, bulletins, posters, lectures, and films.* Coordinating safety indoctrination training for all new employees.* Coordinating with supervisory personnel to develop safety documentation covering specific work areas or tasks.* Incorporating special safety requirements to ensure safety when performing special or unusual tasks.* Preparing and distributing of all necessary reports for accidents/incidents that involve personnel, vehicles, government equipment, or Government facilities.* Ensures environmental compliance.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications* Must have a Baccalaureate with at least five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager on a Government contract; or equivalent years of experience with direct government or contractor supporting government contracts.

* Must have experience in government contracts to include general contract quality management experience in safety, training and property management and general contract quality management.

* Must be proficient in using MS® Project or similar project management software.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions * The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment.* Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.* Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time.* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.* Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the duties and responsibilities.Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements* Must be a U.S. Citizen.* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.* Must possess a valid Utah driver's license, without special restrictions.* Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and periodic retests.

* Must have successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination.

* Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
