**Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Inspector - Modular Construction: 2nd shift**
**Location:** Springfield, MO
**Job Type:** Full-Time
**Shift:** 2nd shift
**Schedule:** 3:00pm to 12:00am - Monday thru Friday
**Remote:** On-site
**Salary:** $44,000.00 to $65,000.00 based on experience and certifications

***Required: You must have previous Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience in modular manufacturing, construction, or municipal inspection to be considered for this position.**

**The Role:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QC/QA Inspector to join our growing team in a dynamic modular construction manufacturing environment.

This role focuses on ensuring the quality, compliance, and performance of modular panel enclosures used in the commercial construction of restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores.
As a QC/QA Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, verifying material conformance, performing system tests, testing documentation, and ensuring compliance with both project specifications and applicable state modular building codes.

**Key Responsibilities:**
**Quality Control Execution -**

+ Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plan for modular manufacturing projects.
+ Conduct regular inspections of materials, fabricated components, and assembled modules.
+ Ensure all processes comply with project-specific quality standards and company protocols.

**Testing and Inspections -**

+ Perform structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing system tests to validate compliance and performance.
+ Conduct inspections both in-factory and on-site prior to shipping or final assembly.
+ Identify and document any non-conformances or deviations from specifications.

**Documentation and Compliance -**

+ Maintain detailed records of all inspections, test results, corrective actions, and compliance checks.
+ Prepare quality reports and inspection logs for internal use and for external regulatory review.
+ Ensure traceability and accountability for all quality-related records.

**Defect (Construction) Resolution -**

+ Conduct root cause analysis when defects or non-compliant items are discovered.
+ Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.

**Regulatory Compliance -**

+ Ensure all modular units comply with state-specific modular construction regulations, including the International Building Code (IBC) and any state-adopted amendments.
+ Verify that manufactured modules meet the certification standards for each target installation state, including anchoring and foundation requirements.
+ Assist in ensuring units meet conditions for receiving modular compliance seals and final occupancy certificates.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration -**

+ Work closely with design, production, installation, and project management teams to ensure quality is maintained throughout the lifecycle of each project.
+ Support communication between internal teams and third-party inspectors, state regulatory agencies, and clients.

**Qualifications:**
**Required -**

+ 3+ years of experience in a QC/QA role, ideally within construction, modular manufacturing, or modular building sectors.
+ Knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, NEC, IPC, state modular codes).
+ Experience performing inspections and quality tests in a manufacturing or construction environment.
+ Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
+ Proficiency in quality documentation, checklists, and reporting systems.
+ Ability to read and understand regulatory requirements across different U.S. states.

**Additional Preferred Skills -**

+ Familiarity with state-specific modular construction certification programs.
+ Experience with commercial construction projects (restaurants, retail, food service).
+ Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector, ICC Certifications) is a plus.
