**Description**

Leidos addresses some of the nation's toughest defense challenges through cutting-edge signal processing and data analytics.

Our San Diego-based team consists of highly skilled scientists and engineers focused on extracting maximum intelligence from complex radar data for both classified and unclassified systems.

We are seeking a motivated and inquisitive candidate who thrives in research, algorithm development, and implementation.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong scientific curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Develop cutting edge radar signal processing and analysis algorithms for National Defense
+ Research cutting edge algorithms for radar noise reduction, detection, and characterization
+ Perform radar data analysis
+ Create efficient implementations in software
+ Document results
+ Work collegially within a talented team of peers

Basic Qualifications

+ BS degree with 5+ years of prior relevant radar signal processing experience, Masters with 2 years of prior radar signal processing experience or Doctoral degree in a scientific field such as applied math, physics, or engineering.
+ Able to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance
+ Experience in scientific algorithm development and radar data analysis.
+ Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
+ Fluency in MATLAB, Python, or similar high-level language
+ Proven track record of innovation, problem solving, and achieving technical results
+ Strong documentation skills
+ Required on-site full-time work in San Diego, CA

Preferred Qualifications

+ An understanding of complex radar phenomenology, detection, and characterization.
+ Experience programming in C/C++ Comfortable with public speaking and/or customer presentations

**Pay Range:**
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
