Summary This position is located at Anderson Aquatics Center.
Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
This is an open continuous announcement to provide a ready pool of available applicants as needed.
Applicants will be referred to selecting officials as vacancies occur based on the date of application.
Responsibilities Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled, at the assigned aquatics facility.
Develops swim program according to students' ability and promotes students to higher level of swimming according to their skills.
Instructs all levels of swimming and appropriate strokes, to include; front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly.
Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students, when appropriate to level of instruction.
Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times.
Teach students from age groups of infant through adults.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.
A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience related to the duties described above and possession of the following certificates: - Water Safety Instructor Certification - Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) - First Aid Certification (Certificates issue by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable) Highly desirable possession of a Lifeguard Certification All of the above certifications/authorization must be kept current.
Education Additional Information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who live in the local commuting area.

Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system.
Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
