Job description

The Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Management team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced UI Engineering Manager to join us in Raleigh NC .

In this role, you will contribute to one of our important projects: Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console, which is the customer-facing platform for most of Red Hat’s managed cloud services.You will be leading a team of UI engineers responsible for ensuring customers have a consistent user experience on console.redhat.com.

Your team will be developing a shared and consistent design foundation, a library of re-usable user interface components and a set of tools that allow console.redhat.com teams to build interfaces using modern web standards.

The shared knowledge, tooling and frontend components support Red Hat development teams and ease application integration across cloud offerings.

In addition, you will lead the team's delivery and be involved in prioritization, support, capacity planning, technical discussions, and associate career development.

This empowers our associates to focus on higher-impact work, creating smart, more innovative solutions that solve our customers' most pressing challenges.What you will do:* Lead an inclusive and high-performance team of engineers to deliver the UI platform for console.redhat.com* Work with Product Management and User Experience Design stakeholders to set the direction for engineering development in an agile environment* Be responsible for technical deliverables, capacity planning, and growth; and own any solutions delivered by the team and be responsible for feature completion, quality, and performance* Collaborate with with cross-functional teams on software engineering, product management, support, and quality engineering (QE) to coordinate tasks necessary for delivering and maintaining enterprise-quality SaaS applications* Design and deliver flexible and scalable solutions aligned with the Red Hat strategy, including working closely with the PatternFly team* Provide mentorship and coaching to your team to help them learn, grow and succeed.* Build solid, effective relationships with the business, product management, and other engineering leaders to enable excellent teamwork and platform development* Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling.What you will bring:* 3+ years of experience managing a globally distributed software engineering team* 6+ years of experience in software development and engineering.* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a technology-related discipline* Experience with enabling UI development and UX design collaboration to reach the best end user experiences.

Technical experience in UI development is a plus* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to present to stakeholders, and conduct priority tradeoffs and scope negotiations* Great interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building effective working relationships and a psychologically safe work environment, enabling a collaborative and high-performing team culture* Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the leadership ability to gain buy-in or acceptance in regard to change* Experience with agile and comfortable with rapid iteration and fast deliveryThe salary range for this position is $148,540.00 - $245,050.00.

Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.**Pay Transparency**Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity.

Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package.

This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
