Job description

Objectives of this Role:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive proposals, schedules, and test plans for a wide variety of environmental testing projects.

    Several will overlap at a time.
  • Design custom tests and oversee custom and standard test execution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians and customers, resolving issues and providing updates.
  • Create high quality detailed test reports and analysis, leveraging tools like ANSYS for analysis and SolidWorks for design work.
  • Foster collaboration within the team to deliver innovative and high-quality testing solutions.
  • Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement unique testing methodologies tailored to customer needs, often focusing on test standards such as IEC, MIL-STD, or IEEE.
  • Draft, manage, and deliver testing proposals, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Prepare and present detailed test reports and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and manage test execution, budget, and scope, coordinate with technicians, and address any issues that arise.
  • Communicate proactively with customers about test progress, results, and troubleshooting measures.
  • Perform business development activities for testing area of focus.
  • Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering degree.
  • 3+ years: Technical Writing and Communication: Proficient in writing clear proposals and test reports.

    Strong verbal skills to communicate with customers.
  • 1-5 years: Project Management and Testing: Able to manage test projects, execute projects, and troubleshoot issues.

    Able to use the tools associated with Project Management effectively
  • 3+ years: Data Analysis and Validation: Skilled in validating test data using tools like LABVIEW, or Excel.

    Ensures accuracy in test results.

    Instrumentation and Standards: Knowledge of selecting test instrumentation and applying standards like MIL-STD-810 and IEC 60068
  • 3+ years: Designing, running, validating, or overseeing at least one (or a combination) of the following tests: Vibration, Seismic, Thermal, Temperature Shock, Altitude, Mechanical Shock, or Water Ingress.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
