  • Responsibilities*

    The candidate will primarily be responsible for the management of day-to-day operations of a molecular biology research laboratory.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to ordering of supplies, maintenance and organization of the laboratory mouse colony (breeding strategies, genotyping, establishment of experimental cohorts, etc.), various molecular biology experiments, cell culture maintenance, supervising undergraduate assistants, implementing, and training others in laboratory safety and regulatory compliance, and the collection and organization of data.

    Occasional off-hours (night/weekend) work may be required.

    The individual will be working within a diverse academic setting and superior communication skills are essential.

    Required Qualifications*

    Qualified candidates will possess a B.S. or B.A. in biological sciences or related field (MS or PhD are also acceptable).

    Prior experience working with mouse models is essential for this position, and individuals with prior laboratory experience in cellular and/or molecular biology will be given higher priority.

    Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication and organizational skills.

    A two-year minimum commitment is strongly preferred.

    Research Lab Tech Associate: 

  •  Associate's Degree and 0-1 years' experience required.
  • Research Lab Tech Intermediate: 

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years' experience required.

  • Research Lab Tech Senior: 

  • Master's Degree in Cell Biology/Biochemistry/ Physiology and 3-5 years' experience required.
  • Desired Qualifications*

  • A two-year minimum commitment is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory environment is desired but not required.
  • Associate and Intermediate Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cell Biology/ Biochemistry/ Physiology or related field preferred.
  • Work Schedule

    M-F, 8 hour/days, with some weekends as needed.

    Modes of Work

    Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.

    Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment.
