Research Scientist (Part-time)

NYU Tandon School of Engineering



Description : The System & Artificial Intelligence (SAI) Lab in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at NYU Tandon focuses on exploring the field where deep learning and hardware systems intersect.

Our primary goal is to co-optimize AI algorithms and the underlying hardware architecture to enhance the implementation of AI.

Additionally, we leverage AI as a powerful tool to streamline the hardware design process.

Expectations

The research scientist will engage in original interdisciplinary research.

In addition to taking on a leadership role in ongoing projects, they will be able to engage in the research activities of their choice, within the scope of NYU's SAI Lab, within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.

They will also work closely with Prof.

Sai Qian Zhang on efficient designs for machine learning models.





Salary:

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $27.50 an hour with a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.

This position is for 4 months, with an opportunity to renew subject to availability of funds.
+
+ MA or PhD (preferred) with expertise in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field;
+ Excellent communication skills;
+ Demonstrated program coordination experience, ideally in an academic setting.
