Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) is one of Lockheed Martin’s outstanding Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity, and reliability.

The Life Extension 2 (LE2) team is an organization within the greater FBM program which supports the development of the Next Generation System by developing concepts, researching, and maturing technologies to support the development of the next FBM Missile System.

Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic and high performing Systems Engineer to join the team in Englewood, CO as our FBM LE2 Test Missile Kit 2 (TMK2) Responsible System Engineer (RSE) delegate.
The TMK2 RSE delegate:
• Is a technical advocate for the TMK2 system who supports the TMK2 RSE with major reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR), and participates in critical production, critical TMK2 design decisions and alteration activities to support overall TMK2 development.
• Supports Integration efforts into Strategic Weapon Facility operations and capabilities to support new fleet deployments including Columbia and Dreadnought class SSBNs.
• Has an understanding of program-unique and Space command media which ensures the TMK2 system meets technical requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Support the technical integrity of the TMK2 system in concert with our LE2 Missile RSEs.
• Is a technical expert who maintains a understanding of the TMK2 system and supports compliance with LE2 product certifications at the system level.
• Supports the FBM Chief Engineer/Executive CPE (ECPE) relating to coordination and integration with missile product RSEs/CPEs and delegates.
This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Top Security clearance.

US Citizenship required.
**Basic Qualifications:**
• Experience developing/using engineering test plans, procedures, and reports
• Experience with one or more systems engineering functions including:
a) System trade studies, CONOPS, constraints and/or system modeling
b) Requirements, Interface Control Document (ICD), or Interface Definition Document (IDD) development
c) System integration, fault management, test and/or verification
d) Test planning and execution with an understanding of all the interdependencies
• US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
**Desired Skills:**
• Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate CPE for electronics packages or similar and Engineering Material Review (EMRB) experience; ability to interact with hardware CPEs and designers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
• Team player with demonstrated ability to participate in cross functional teams to achieve common goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management, and peers
• Excellent problem solving and Troubleshooting skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)
• Experience with telemetry systems, flight operations, and/or electrical design
• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
• Working knowledge of complex missile or launch vehicle systems, missile or launch vehicle subsystems, including Electronics, Structures, Controls, Propulsion, Initiation, Reentry etc.
• General understanding of missile or launch vehicle assembly
• General knowledge of support equipment and operational procedures for missiles or launch vehicles
• Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program
• Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
• Knowledge of the Submarine Launch Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Strategic Weapon System
• Knowledge of Trident II (D5LE) Missile System design and operation, and interfaces to the Reentry System
• Experience with development of new missile systems and corresponding mechanical and electrical ground support equipment
• Knowledge of D5LE missile processing, wharf operations and In-Tube Conversion procedures
• Experience in working with FBM Navy customer organization (Strategic Systems Program), including the Missile Branch, Reentry Branch and contractor support activity
• Ability to act as interface with Navy on Fleet and Facility support issues relating to the Trident II (D5) Missile
• Active Top Secret security clearance

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
**Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
**Pay Rate:** The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

**Benefits offered:** Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
