**Job Title: RF Design Engineer**

**Salary: $72,000-$80,000/yr**

(Stellant) is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, supporting critical commercial and government programs for orbital or terrestrial systems.
Stellant’s engineering team is seeking an RF Engineer to develop high-performance RF integrated microwave assembly and power amplifier products using both SMT and MIC Chip and Wire construction.
Additionally, we are looking for an individual that can work with a multi-disciplinary team to support development and production efforts from design to shipment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for the detailed design and schematic capture of the electronic circuits and overall product design.
+ Develop the functional specifications for RF power amplifiers and integrated microwave assemblies.
+ Ensure that bare die and bond wire layout designs meet design requirements.
+ Responsible for the release of the engineering design package to the production configuration management system.
+ Set up and calibrate an RF Test bench to perform RF testing including Gain, Power, NF, and VSWR.
+ Provide support and guidance for the development of automated methods for sub-system testing.
+ Design power amplifier matching networks using non-linear models.
+ Support production builds on development and flight hardware.
+ Run root cause investigations for built hardware.
**Qualifications**
At least 6 months of relevant engineering experience.
An advanced degree in a relevant field can be considered sufficient experience in lieu of professional experience.
Other qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully in this position include:
+ Typically requires 6 months of direct RF and microwave assemblies experience
+ Experience using RF Test Equipment such as Network Analyzers, Power Meters, Bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, Noise Figure analyzers, and spectrum analyzers
+ Experience using Microwave Studios CST, Ansys HFSS or Microwave Office
+ Computer programming skills a preferred
+ Hands on manufacturing engineer experience a plus
+ Support of space or aerospace hardware preferred
+ Experience working with engineering drawings
+ Experience writing technical instructions or equivalent a plus
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed, with experience presenting to internal and/or external customers a plus
+ Must be able to work well in a team environment and with individuals from a variety of areas within the company (such as program managers, engineers from multiple disciplines, and operations staff)
+ A bachelor's degree in physics or an engineering discipline is required.
A master's degree in one of these disciplines a plus
+ Previous experience in root cause analysis efforts a bonus
+ Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary
