ASRC Federal System Solutions has an opening for an Electrical Engineer Level 2 with radio frequency (RF) experience in support of our FAA engineering program for the Navigation and Landing Systems Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing, maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting the Instrument Landing System (ILS) on operational systems critical in airplane approaches to airport landings
  • Capable of designing solutions for systems where component obsolescence has occurred
  • PCB design with RF techniques (microstrip, stripline, etc.).
  • Researching, designing and developing hardware systems, enhancements, modifications and configurations to existing systems
  • Providing required inputs for development of system manuals, guidelines and documentation where commercially developed documents are unavailable
  • Requirements

    US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required.

    All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years
    .

  • Hardware skills in both analog and digital circuit analysis and design desired
  • Familiarity with antennas and antenna design
  • An understanding of RF theory and measurement processes
  • Familiarity with RF synthesizers, crystal oscillators, RF amplifiers, detectors, etc
  • Requires a minimum of 2 days in office per week
  • Ability to pass an FAA background investigation 
  • Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering discipline; ABET is required (accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology)
  • 3-6 years of engineering experience
  • Strong analytical skills, proven problem solving ability while being self-motivated in our team environment
  • Experience developing RF solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
