Job Description


Skyworks Solutions Inc.

is a leading innovator in the RF Frontend module design industry, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions for top-tier customers.

This role will involve you to develop the most sophisticated RF front end module through Skyworks technical networks with collaborations with expert teams among all Skyworks design centers across the US and Japan.

Overtime this position has potential to advance from individual contributor to key leader who will own and execute critical portion of our product developments.

This is a very exciting opportunity for candidate who has ambition to build up professional growth and be part of Skyworks success.

The qualified candidate needs to be a self-driven, committed team player and possess a full understanding of electromagnetics and RF circuits with details shown below.


Co-op duration: June through December 2026

Responsibilities


Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Adapting and developing best MCM design and full module co-simulation practices.

  • Designing customized semi-lumped RF matching networks, couplers, and biasing networks for RF frontend transmitting and receiving circuits with Power Amplifiers(PA) and Low Noise Amplifiers(LNA).

  • Designing multiplexing networks and filters with acoustic resonators(SAW&BAW), Integrated Passive devices(IPD), and Surface Mounted Devices(SMD).

  • Designing high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high density component module and able to meet stringent requirements such as de-sense, RF leakage, and harmonics.

  • Participating and conducting design review meeting.

  • Performing lab testing and tuning and using various RF test equipment
  • The circuit blocks involved in a typical product development may include:

  • Power Amplifiers

  • Integrated Passive Devices

  • SAW/BAW Duplexers & High-Q RF Filters

  • Switches

  • Low Noise Amplifiers

  • High-directivity couplers
  • Required Experience and Skills

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs

  • Commitment to working on-site for 6 months

  • Experience with Software Tools Used such as: Ansoft HFSS
    Agilent ADS and Momentum
    Cadence Allegro and Virtuoso Layout
    Excel
    Microsoft Office/Outlook

  • Experience with Hardware Tools such as: Network Analyzers
    Spectrum Analyzers
    Signal Generators
    Digital Receivers
    Load-Pull/Tuners
    RF Probe Stations

  • The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour.

    Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.

    Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
