Wood Associates RF/Microwave Design Engineer


We seek an energetic, hard-working person to join our outstanding R.

A.

Wood Associates team.

The position is for a seasoned RF/microwave engineer with at least 5 years of experience designing and testing devices and systems over frequencies ranging from 10 MHz to 40 GHz. Experience in predicting circuit performance by performing RF path analyses is necessary; familiarity with programs such as Keysight’s Genesys RF and Microwave Synthesis and Simulation software is highly desirable.

This person will be expected to lead or assist in developing new devices and systems for current and future customers.

The ability to work independently with little direction and effectively as part of an integrated team is required.



Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or an advanced EE degree with an emphasis in RF / Microwave engineering is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen; a secret security clearance is highly desirable.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Intimate knowledge of S-parameters, Intercept Points, Noise Figure, Dynamic Range.
  • Experience using Spectrum and Network Analyzers, Power Meters, and other RF/microwave test equipment.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments’ LabVIEW is desirable.
  • Familiarity with computer-automated testing is desirable.
  • Experience in RF and Microwave circuit board layout is desirable.
  • Experience in circuit board layout (DipTrace) would be helpful.
